The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) exam to fill various graduate and undergraduate posts in Indian Railways. The exam is conducted in multiple phases, including CBT 1, CBT 2, skill tests, and document verification. The RRB NTPC Exam will be held in three shifts, according to the official RRB NTPC exam shift timings. Along with the exam city details, eligible candidates belonging to SC/ST or minority categories will also receive a free travel authority pass. This travel pass must be carried while travelling to the exam centre and shown to authorities upon request.
Having the RRB NTPC exam centre list beforehand is crucial for a stress-free exam experience. Candidates should be aware of their allotted exam city and centre location to plan their travel and accommodation in advance. Additionally, early awareness of the exam centre helps in estimating travel time and preparing mentally for the exam day logistics. Hence, Candidates should check the RRB NTPC Exam City Intimation Slip as it has been released.
RRB NTPC Exam Centre Allotment
The allotment of the RRB NTPC exam centre list for RRB NTPC 2026 is done based on the preferences submitted by candidates during the application process. While filling the form, applicants will be asked to choose five exam cities in order of priority. The Railway Recruitment Board tries to assign a centre from these preferences by considering factors like seat availability and logistics.
However, centre allotment also depends on the number of candidates opting for a particular city. If the preferred centres are fully booked or not feasible due to administrative reasons, RRBs may allot an alternate centre in a nearby city or state.
Can You Change the Exam Centre After Submission?
No, once the application is submitted and the exam centre is allotted, candidates cannot request a change in the exam centre. RRBs do not entertain any such requests under any circumstances. Therefore, it is crucial to select your preferred cities carefully while filling the application form.
What If Your Preferred City Is Not Allotted?
If a candidate's preferred city is not allotted, the RRB may assign a nearby location based on availability. While it may not be the first preference, RRBs ensure the allotted exam city is accessible. Candidates are advised to check their exam city intimation slip early so they can plan travel accordingly.
